You can just use a balloon, but a proper airlock like he is using is the best way to do it.

Use proper air traps. Very cheap and reliable.

I forgot my point.. What is the loss of the "pre-wine" toward wine regarding spacial volume? If the mechanical reaction of the yeast growing does convert sugars into alcohol and the Carbondioxide is the waste of the organism, yeast, What is the cause of spacial dynamism described on the video, but evaporation?
ihavestage4coolness (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
evaporation is the action of a liquid becoming gaseous. the total mass of dioxygen is unchanged. The CO2 reacts exactly like oxygen combined with a carbon atom. The sugar is converted into alcohol, a biproduct of the reaction is carbondioxide.

his method of teaching workd for me.the wine i made doesnt taste bad at all.thanks

This guy is a nitwit. The "breather" is called an airlock, the wine doesn't evaporate, it gets converted into gasses (and alcohol) and it doesn't spoil if you don't top off the liquid level because the CO2 gas being expelled doesn't react with the wine like oxygen. I RECOMMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER TEACHER TO LEARN FROM.

how do you top the wine off, if it is needed
lilgfunk92 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
what do you do if the level of the wine goes down, and how long do you leave the breather on the bottle.
