y55600,this is the winemaker,the acidic level of wine should be in the range of 0.60 too 0.75 with the acid test kit. The winemaker has never used teabags.

and by the way i want to ask you about the tanning someone told me to put about 3 bags of tea for each gallon , do recommend it ?

Mr Winemaker , how are you my friend , you know its been about 2 weeks now for my first wine experience, its getting very good with time , you know the alcohole smell is getting very strong , but like you said its not clear yet , i will do my best to be patient. Thanks alot

lindarn54455-this is vallo the winemaker.I normally do not use bentonite and I let it clear on its own.If you decide to use it then use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon or 3 teaspoons for a 5 gallon batch.

Do not use any bentonite at this point in the winemaking process. Bentonite is used for clearing the wine from particles.If you use bentonite then add it after the secondary period. This will clear the wine.vallo3838

Ok got my first batch in and waiting for the 5 days open and it it fermenting very well using Lalvin 71B-1122 yeast which I hope is ok! Someone said I should have used bentonite but I didn't so what are your comments on using this with welches jucies? Aand if so can it be added after this 5 days?
